Decent given the price, Beware illumination

First impressions, its good for the cost of the optic. Will update after putting pushing some rounds with it.

Pros: clarity is good, adjustment turrets have clean adjustment

Cons: fairly heavy, not a true 1x

Big thing to consider: Illumination, and this can be a deal breaker for some.

Keep an eye on the adjustment knob when you get it. Mine was not an 11 power illumination as the photo suggests in the description. Mine is labeled only 1-6, but has an off switch between each. If you like level 5, switch the knob one direction to turn it off, and have quick access back to level 5. Again, not necessarily a deal breaker, but definitely not what I expected. I figured I could go 1-11, 1 being super dim and 11 being super bright. Now, with the one I have, 1-3 are unusable. 4 is dim, 5 is decent for indoors, 6 is bright but leaves some red illumination on the outer edge of the sight picture

This is not a deal breaker for me as this is just a starter lpvo to see if I like this style of optic. But if this was to be your one lpvo choice, I'd keep it in mind

Improved version?

I received this as a gift and have not sighted it in yet. When I unboxed this I wasn't expecting too much. Look this thing (if it holds zero) is a fantastic scope for the money. Build quality is excellent. I think that I received an improved version also. Mine has 6 reticle brightness levels and the reticle is very bright on #6, even in the daytime. It has off positions in between each brightness level which is huge plus for me. Like I said, if this thing holds zero, it is a fantastic scope. Real world shooting TBD.

How quality and accuracy is it?

I very like it. I use this scope for small game hunting.

Good for what it is

There is good value here in this scope, but if you're accustomed to mid range scopes or higher, you will definitely notice this scope's faults. The glass is... ok. The scope is not very bright and there is a bit of blurriness around the edges. That being said, it's what you would expect with a very budget optic. What isn't expected is the parallax. On this scope it's surprisingly bad, definitely the worst I've seen in a modern scope. (for those who don't know what parallax is, the effect can be seen when you hold your rifle/scope perfectly still and move your head around, the reticle will "move" around quite a bit. This means that when you sight in your rifle with this scope, you need to make damn sure your head placement is in exactly the same place whenever you take a shot, or you would miss.) There is a night and day difference between a mid range scope like a Vortex Viper PST gen 2 1-6x24 and this in terms of parallax.

The rest of the scope is surprisingly nice on initial impressions. I haven't dropped the scope or beat it up to test it, but it "feels" like a scope in the $150 range - The turrets have good clicks, moving the turret up 10 clicks, right 10 clicks, down 10 clicks and left 10 clicks does return the center dot very close to where it started. Visually, it looks good, has no branding and the finish is even.

All in all, if this is all you can afford and no more, then it's what you have. The parallax issue is the only thing that really prevents me from recommending it. The whole point of a scope is to put a crosshair on your target that you can trust, as long as you maintain a consistent cheek weld, you'll be ok.

This scope is amazing for the cost. Glass is clear, reticle is good. The glass is as clear as any of my nikon scopes. Almost as clear as my burris. Feels extremely well made. Love that it's a 30mm tube. Will definitely purchase again for my next build.
